Stormwater Issues in Dubbo
Leaf and debris blockages — the most common stormwater issue, particularly in Delroy Park and Brocklehurst where deciduous trees drop leaves into surface drains. Collapsed pit and channel covers — both a functional and a safety issue. Undersized stormwater systems — original stormwater capacity was designed for rainfall intensities that newer engineering standards have revised upward. If your property floods in heavy rain that didn't used to cause problems, the network may not have capacity for current rainfall events.
Dubbo Regional Council is responsible for stormwater in the public road reserve. Private property stormwater — from your roof, driveway, and yard drains — is the property owner's responsibility.
